Frequently Asked Questions

  • Anyone willing to commit to nonviolent, respectful, community-centered organizing and to follow our Code of Conduct may apply. We welcome people from many backgrounds, identities, and life experiences.

We are often seeking volunteers to help with:

    • Event (protest) operations

    • Safety marshalling and crowd guides

    1. Application Review: One of our team members will review your application and conduct an initial screening.

      • (IF NEEDED) If a formal background check is required, we will reach out with more information and give you the opportunity to consent (we won’t proceed without consent!).

    2. Meet & Greet: After completing the initial screening, someone will contact you to arrange an introductory call (or a coffee!) to meet, talk about volunteer opportunities, and get acquainted.

    3. Determination is made and communicated in writing via email.

    4. Onboarding: Process additional paperwork and schedule training (as needed!)

The length of this process varies based on our volunteer’s workload and the coordination of your schedule with ours!

    It ensures we understand:

    • Who you are

    • How you want to contribute

    • Whether the role fits your skills and availability

    • Whether you can agree to our safety and conduct standards

This protects both volunteers and the community.
